An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it.

Mahatma Gandhi

Truth and facts are not the same. Facts are based on fundamental research and quantifiable measures. Truth can be subjective. Your reality is different than mine. The truth may include fact, but it can also have beliefs.

My truths have been confirmed over and over in my life. As a teenager, a dear friend’s mother, a spiritualist and student of the metaphysical sciences, imparted her wisdom to me. I have never forgotten her words: My truths may not be yours; you must verify for yourself if they are indeed accurate.

I have come to rely on my inner knowing to verify if something is true for me. As a result, I get goosebumps, which I regard as confirmation chills as a sign of validation.

Here are some of my truths; test to see if they are true for you.

My Truths
  • Love is more significant than hate.
  • Our thoughts create our lives.
  • The world is both finite and infinite.
  • Energy is never lost; it is transformed.
  • Going with the flow is the result of letting go.
  • We have all of the knowledge to succeed once we acknowledge we do.
  • We have only the moment; nothing lasts forever.
  • Half-full, half-empty, good, bad, correct, or wrong depends on our outlook.
  • Pushing our limits is where we grow.
  • We choose our parents based on what growth our souls need.
  • Your parents did the best they could. Even if they were horrible, they only did what they were capable of.
  • You can do better because you know better.
  • Setbacks are just stepping stones along the path.
  • Fear is something that lives in the shadows. To dissipate it, shine your attention on it.
  • Nothing said or done to you is about you. Instead, it is the result of someone else’s perception.
  • Struggles are nothing more than steps on the way to success.
  • You can always make a difference.
  • Strength has many faces.
  • If you allow it to be, the past is only a part of your future.
  • Nothing is new, just new ways of looking at it.
  • Delayed gratification is a tool to keep us moving.
  • Anything is possible.
  • Intuition is a superpower.
  • The perfect time to do anything is now unless you choose to do it later.
  • Sometimes, the things that change are apparently out of our control and force us to grow.
  • Others’ opinions of who we are or what we should be doing are opinions.
  • Free will is absolute.
  • Assume nothing.
  • If it’s important to you, you will always find a way; you’ll find an excuse if it’s not.
  • We are not always right; there are many right ways.
  • Being busy does not equate to being productive.
  • Because someone said yes once doesn’t mean it’s forever.
  • No means no.
  • Life is hard unless you make it easy.
  • What appears perfect is often not.
  • Everything is perfect.
  • The sun always rises, even if it is behind the clouds.
  • Nothing in nature stands still, so why should we?
  • Everything is impermanent.
  • Blame is getting stuck in the problem, not in the solution.
  • Guilt is a waste of time. If you are going to feel guilty, don’t do it, and if you are going to do it, don’t feel guilty.
  • Everything happens for a reason.
  • Diversity keeps us strong.
  • Our souls are never given more than they can handle.
  • We are in a constant state of becoming; it is up to us who that is.
  • You can always take one more step.
  • Intuition never lies.
  • Life happens at the precise moment it is supposed to.
  •  If you live with integrity, there is no room for regret.
  •  Always choose kindness.
  • Age is a state of mind.
  • There are no mistakes, only growth opportunities.
  • Health is a reflection of our mindset.
  • What we see is not always what it is; it is only our perception.
  • Love is love.

As we get more attuned to our intuition, signs that we are on the right track become more evident. The phone rings when you are thinking of someone. Your sleeping dreams begin to manifest in real time. Synchronicity seems to be an everyday occurrence. And your life begins to take on the shape that you always wanted.

Explore your truth, and then live it.

“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”

– Henry David Thoreau
