“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you’re right.”
~Henry Ford

As the calendar flips to a new year, many want to move forward with a clean slate, out with the old and in with the new. I am not one for making new years resolutions, yet I am on a constant journey for personal growth. Welcoming 2023 with open arms and heart, I am excited for the adventures to start.

I look for guidance within each new year’s energetic and vibrational qualities. According to Numerology, the numbers 2+0+2+3 add to the universal number 7.

The number 7 is an analytical number that enjoys gathering and filtering through information to find answers. So, with 2023 comes the desire to use these skills to ask questions, research, and listen, in its search for deeper awareness. Therefore, it is a year to look for more profound meaning and practice mindfulness by setting intentions consciously. By doing so, we can attract positive partnerships and co-create a planet with a more harmonious energy

2023 is also the year of the Water Rabbit, which follows the Lunar Chinese New Year, starting on January 22, 2023, and ending on February 9th, 2024, Chinese New Year’s Eve.

The Rabbit symbolizes longevity, peace, and prosperity, with 2023 signified to be a year of hope, inner and outer transformation, and personal growth.

Each year is also associated with one or more elements; this new year’s water & wood elements include the lucky colors of azure and apple green. These combine with the yin feminine watery energy & the mother wood element of fire to burn away negative mindsets and toxic relationships and give birth to new beginnings.

It hints that the universal guidance is towards leveling up and reprogramming an outdated mindset. This means releasing old limiting realities and striving for a healthy balance of our needs and that of collective consciousness and global awareness.

We can begin our release with Seven Let Go’s for 2023

Let go of the need always to feel comfortable. Sometimes through discomfort is when we find the most significant growth.

Let go of mental anguish and anxiety about the past of what didn’t happen, making room to create what can be.

Let go of people and situations that drain you. When we let go of those, we can welcome what inspires us.

Let go of the need to overdo it. Less can be more.

Let go of your need to fill your space with stuff. Because you have room does not mean you need to fill it with things. Instead, bring in gratitude and love, and embrace spending time with those who bring you joy.

Let go of the need to control. We control what we think we know, yet when we let go of the desire to control, we allow those things we don’t know to enhance our world.

Let go of our ego needs and ask, is this for the greater good?

When we change our mindset, our lives will change. Wherever we place our attention and intentions energetically, the flow will alter; by doing what we love more, our world becomes harmonious. When we let go of who we think we are supposed to be, that person who does what we think we are supposed to do rather than the things that feed our souls, we become who we are meant to be. So listen to your soul calling, and then make 2023 your best year!

“Continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection.”
