A coincidence will remain a coincidence until its significance is known.
― Angie Corbett-Kuiper

Navigating life can be tricky. However, we are given clues on how to be a conscious and successful person, often through innocuous sayings bantered around, usually without much faith. I grew up thinking that the universe always provides exactly what we need when it is needed. As I pursued that thinking, I realized we are given guideposts if we only listen. It may be from a social media post, a friend, or a line in a movie we watch. The key to becoming the most evolved beings we can be is to be mindful and acute to what’s happening around us, opening our awareness to the messages that can direct us or remind us how to be.

Here are some gems:

Thoughts are things; what you think you will create.

And this, too, shall pass.

You cannot control everything that happens, but you can manage your reactions.

Letting go is not about having less; it is about having more.

Responsibility is the ability to respond.

Failure fulls success.

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create them.

An open heart is an open mind.

Good manners don’t cost anything.

Be gentle with Mother Earth.

Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.

Take the time that it takes and it takes less time.

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

No expectations, no disappointments.

Where there is a will, there is a way.

Nothing is all bad: Find the good in everyone and every situation.

Laughter is the best medicine.

There are no accidents in the universe.

Listen to the voice inside; your intuition will guide you.

Don’t give up before you start.

Energy begets energy.

Always ask; they can only say no.

A block in your path is an opportunity to change your direction.

Without integrity, you have nothing.

There are no mistakes, just lessons.

Don’t believe everything you hear or read. Make up your own mind and discover your own truth.

Aging is a state of mind.

You will always have what you need when you need it.

You don’t understand it well enough if you can’t explain it simply.

Let go of the past and what no longer serves you to create room for other things to come in.

Two things cannot occupy the same space simultaneously: love and hate, fear and trust…

Blood is not always thicker than water. Sometimes, the relationships we make can be stronger than family.

We choose our life before we are born, then we forget it. We can choose to remember it too.

Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself. Go forward and make your dreams come true.

We can let go of generational trauma.

Nothing is forever.

Never say never.

Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries.

Everything is connected.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

Setting intentions or praying; work.

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.

Sometimes, it is best to walk away.

You can love someone but not like them.

If you are going to feel guilty, don’t do it; if you do it, don’t feel guilty.

Pause before you speak.

What is good for one may not be good for another: embrace differences.

Treat others as you would like to be treated.

The most significant victory is that which requires no battle.

Don’t buy what you can’t afford.

Bigger, Better, More is not going to make you happy.

Do not trust someone who mistreats an animal.

Actions speak louder than words.

Happiness is a talent, not an object. It comes from within.

You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.

Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.

Somebody’s trash is someone else’s treasure.

Be the change you want to see.

If you think you are too small to make a difference, you haven’t spent the night with a mosquito.

Opportunities multiply as they are seized.

Keep your face toward the sunshine – and shadows will fall behind you.

We are all spiritual beings on a human journey.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your inner voice. And most importantly, dare to follow your heart and intuition.

Don’t judge another until you have walked in their shoes.

The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.

Sometimes, when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place.

When you are good to others, you are best to yourself.

Speak little, do much.

Lost time is never found again.

Always let your conscience be your guide.

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

Even if we have ourselves so fully convinced that we are on the right track because we desperately want to believe that the specific direction we have chosen is the “correct one”, if the universe disagrees with our choices, it will not be shy in telling us so.
